Betsy Bowerman (Mature Students' Advisor) from the University of Bristol gave a presentation at a conference held by WVLLN/AimHigher to educational practitioners. Betsy spoke about how Access courses are viewed within selecting institutions, work currently being done to enable progression of the student from Access courses into HE, the HE admissions challenges with Access courses and what Access students can do to enhance their application.

The new Access to HE Diploma was launched in June 2007 and all courses will be graded by 2009-10.
